Specializes in Power Sector in all aspects including technology, policy, project financing and appraisals. Contributed more than 60 professional papers. Participated in design, engineering, project construction, procurement, techno-economics and environmental aspects of conventional and renewable energy. Over 45 yrs. professional Experience in Elect. Energy Technology & Policies. Served Ministry of Power as Penal Consultant (Thrmal) to expedite completion of more than 60,000 MW Capacity in 11th and 12th five year Plan (2008 - 2013).

He specializes in Power Sector in all its aspects and areas covering Planning, Design, Engineering, R&D, Power Survey, Fuel Management, Training, Grid Management, Energy efficiency, tariff Fixation, Renewable Energy and Geo thermal power generation. He has extensively participated in the Management and growth of the Power Sector and has contributed to the Planning Management growth of the Power-Energy Sector. Shri Verma had been actively associated in policy formulation of GOI after EA-2003, in human resource development, 17th Electric Power Survey and 11th plan planning. Served on GC of CPRI, NPTI, CWET &DVC.

In CEA, Served Secretary CEA, Served Secretary CEA, Member Secy WREB, Member Secy NREB, Director on Board of NEEPCO Shillong, Chief Engineer District Planning and Development and CE-Power Deptt Govt of Sikkim. Expertise in Grid Management, Arbitration, in Engg. Contracts, Power Development Planning, Regulation of bulk and retail Tariff in UP dispute resolution and Hydro power Development. Independent Director in five Private Power companies.

At Election Commission of India, she led nationwide voter education strategies for higher turnout and with the Press Information Bureau, she managed press operations for the 2010 Commonwealth Games. An entrepreneur, she has driven advocacy in energy and corporate governance. Shubhra holds an Executive MBA from FMS, Delhi University and is a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Scholar. She completed PG program in Corporate Laws and Management from Indian Law Institute and has several certifications. Her work focuses on sustainability, gender empowerment, and societal development.
