The India Rural Energy And Power (IREAP) was established by accomplished professionals in 2008 to provide Research and Management services in the fields of Energy, Power and Environment coupled with dissemination of knowledge and information in these areas to lead to sustainable development. It is intended to breed social fabric and culture which reinforces energy efficient ways of living and gives rise to a sustainable growth with huge reduction in emission of Green House Gases.

The Motor car, Aeroplane, the Train Lighting, Cooking, the fan, the Computers, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Television, Air Conditioning, all Consume electricity and energy from different depletable resources to help us in comfortable living. With rising population and Limited external resources, we must change our style of living to maintain good quality life with minimum external energy.

To be a leading force in the global transition to sustainable energy by creating and sharing knowledge that drives energy conservation, promotes efficiency, and supports decarbonization. We have to disseminate knowledge and information and to re-engineer and direct living habits and style to change the consumption patterns of energy and electricity to enable economic growth in an endeavour to achieve zero CO2 emission goals.

To excel in promoting Scientific and Social research in collaboration with Government, Public Sector and Private Corporates in taking strategic decisions, policy making, and social development while promoting energy efficiency healthy living, and reduction of CO2 emissions. We are dedicated to advancing knowledge in energy efficiency through education, and promoting sustainable practices for environmental preservation.

While driving energy conservation, IREAP devotes itself to the global development goals of poverty alleviation and socio-economic development. In this endeavor efficient utilization of global and national energy resources provide the key for sustainable energy consumption in Industry, Agriculture, Rural infrastructure, and quality of life.
